A vaginal discharge is common with vaginitis and does not require a cone biopsy unless perhaps cervical dysplasia is present. Women also register increased or decreased secretions. The latter are accompanied by dryness and pain during intercourse. Itching, burning, and redness in the genital area are also possible. Treatment is prescribed depending on the cause and is usually in the form of pills or creams.
