A recurring bacterial vaginosis infection may affect the results of a LEEP procedure for ASCUS. For about 30 percent of patients that have had BV, they find it comes back with in 3 months. Health care providers will often determine that a longer treatment period of 10-14 days may be needed or they may switch medication.
